I'm sure others have run into this.

I created a release 1.0.0 and realized that one of the variables had no value (which the interface should have prevented).

So I wanted to delete that release. There is no way to do that.

  • Yeah, me too. I was trying to do a release, making several failed attempts, and when I looked at the target site, each failure had added 72MB of files. ...and this was for a release that failed so all this stuff should have been rolled back entirely. Imagine what this sort of stuff would do to the DBAs calculations for storage space on a production system!
  • Vote added...please move it up the pipe. Thanks.

  • I'm hoping for at least a way to archive old releases, instead of having to do it manually which I do right now
  • Is this coming soon? It's getting lots of votes

    Hi

We're planning to add the ability to delete a release next month.

I've attached a link below to the designs we have come up with for this feature. You'll be able to delete a single release or delete multiple releases. We'd be really interested to hear if you feel this will meet your requirements.

  • Glad to see this moving forward.

In my opinion, screens 1 and 2 (single delete button at the top) makes the most sense, allowing the user to review the release details before deleting.

I don't think the use case for deleting multiple releases is as compelling.

    Hi

Just wanted to update this thread to say we added the ability to delete a release in DM version 2.3.14. This version was released on 19th December 2013.
      * Users with the ‘Project Administrator’ permission can now delete releases * Multiple releases can be deleted from the project releases page * The version numbers of deleted releases can be reused * Deployment logs are retained and reference the deleted release
We'd be really keen to hear what you think of the new functionality.

    Best regards,
