Re: Timing on .NET 8 compatibility
Hi Samantha,
I feel your pain, we are in a similar situation.
Unfortunately, the response I have received from the RedGate support is that "there is an underlying architectural change we have been working on to better support the functionality and it's been substantially more challenging than expected; I'm afraid there's no official delivery date for .NET 8 at this time."
Personally, this sounds to me like (many) months if not more.
It pains me to see that a number of competitor products, such as dotfuscator, eazfuscator.net, dotnet_reactor, all mention being compatible with .NET 8. I have not tried any of them (yet). I am not sure this forum will be the ideal location for sharing experience in migrating to other solutions...

SQL Prompt not working
We're using latest version of SQL Prompt, and all of our developers are facing an issue where the suggestion window does not show the column names as shown in the screenshot
This is not isolated, its all users, in all machines, physical laptops, VM's etc...
Using Azure database

Re: SQL Prompt not working
I am experiencing the same issue connecting to an Azure SQL Managed Instance (authenticated with Microsoft Entra MFA) with SQL Prompt 10.14.18.8999. I have tried with both SSMS 19.3 and 20.1.
I have tried checking Trust Server Certificate and the error still exists.

Re: Multi Script 1.5 Save All fails
I've given up updating until the follow up. Literally every release this breaks. Left hand not talking to the right?ChrisB said:I love SQL Multi Script but, once again, the SAVE ALL feature appears broken in version 1.5.26.2767. This seems to happen about once per year in your releases. The data I'm pulling back looks fine in the grid or when copy/pasted to Excel, but a SAVE ALL seems to think some of my data is a DATE when it is not.

Re: Automatic Updates Issue
I had written my own PowerShell script for automatic updates some time ago which worked flawlessly. After initially running it on on version 14, with the rebranding of the product name and paths, I found I needed to make a number of revisions to it to accommodate for the path changes. Not sure if you are having the same issue, but something to check.

Re: Is it possible to have SQL Prompt in Visual Studio Code
Here I am three and a half months later installing "Prettier" in VSCode to format SQL scripts that tabnine is helping me write. Wouldn't it be nice if SQL Prompt ran natively in VSCode and included a connection to AI? I've been writing SQL for almost 30 years but just because I can doesn't mean that I should. The next generation of tools will help veterans like me write better code faster because I don't have to deal with all the details. SQL Prompt did that for a while but it is falling behind now.

Release Notes site not updated for 10.14.17
Opened SSMS and SQL Prompt says that SQL Prompt 10.14.17 is available. I click on the Details to go to Release Notes web page and 10.14.17 is not listed. I made note of this a couple of months ago (cannot find previous post) but it resolved and everyone was good about keeping the release notes up to date on a new release but it has stopped again.
Just looking to know what was changed before installing a new release.

Source Control causing SSMS to crash frequently
This seems to happen when I introduce a new server and try and act with it in the object browser. Happening frequently since yesterday morning.
Once it started happening I updated my source-control to the latest version but it is still happening.
Error log below.
FYI: this is also coinciding with an issue where SSMS closing it is prompting it to restart.
