How to Profile with Custom Controls
Discussion by ljenner · · Home› Discontinued and Previous Versions› ANTS Performance Profiler Previous VersionsHi there, I have an application which uses custom controls, including on the statup.aspx page (which launches the app). I have put in the server and virtual paths. When the profiler starts, i get a directory listing. Primary Key Index with Foriegn Key Constraints and v3.1.0
Discussion by Brian Donahue · · Home› Discontinued and Previous Versions› SQL Compare Previous VersionsHi John, Thanks for your post. SQL Compare 3.x does not drop the foriegn key first before dropping a table when a column in the table has a primary key constraint and a foriegn key constraint applied to the same column. Even scripting the table at the other end of the FK relationship along with the first table won't help… -
Re: Abstracting Test logic by inheriting VirtualClient
I've extended this further into what I think now works quite well for me. The problems I kept running into was that the load test scripts were quite brittle (i.e. basically required extensive rewriting when a page changed). What I set out to do (and what I hope I've achieved) is a way of more simply updating my scripts.… -
Re: Subquery issues in 3.5
OK thanks for posting that. I've managed to replicate the problem with the AdventureWorks database (my query is at the bottom and has pretty much identical structure to yours). So, what you ended up with when you started typing your subquery was something like (note that I'm using ^ to indicate the caret position): SELECT… -

Comment by Rim Shot · · Home› Discontinued and Previous Versions› ANTS Performance Profiler Previous VersionsScenario #1 Timers I have some code that has two timers. They start in response to mouse movements. It is not possible to single step through the code to see what is happening. I have to form a mental model of the process, define hypotheses about the behavior I'm observing, then instrument the code to see if my hypotheses… -
Re: Error when refreshing (Comment has a single quote in it)
Okay. In my frustration, I have made two blank schemas. In the first, I put a table with two columns. CREATE TABLE mytable (col1 VARCHAR2(5 BYTE), col2 VARCHAR2(5 BYTE));COMMENT ON TABLE mytable IS 'This is mytable''s awesome data.';COMMENT ON COLUMN mytable.col1 IS 'Column 1''s values are stored here';COMMENT ON COLUMN… -
Re: Splitting database projects by schema
Please note that information on partitioning database projects by schema is now included in the ReadyRoll documentation: Key Concepts > Partial projects. ReadyRoll does allow you to have multiple projects for the one database, providing the following conditions are met: * Each schema must be self-contained: there cannot be… -
ERASEFILES_ATSTART question
Where does ERASEFILES_ATSTART get it's source from? The backup command that's running or the Server Options defined in the GUI? Or somewhere else? I have a server where, due to the size of the files, I put the local backups in several different drives/folders. I changed my backup command from ERASEFILE=23h to… -
