Can we install SQL Clone on GCP VM and use.

We are currently using Redgate SQ: clone on on-premise and now we are planning to migrate to GCP. SO just want to find if we can install the SQL clone on GCP VM and then use cloning in all GCP servers?

Any documentation for this if you already have?

KR

Hey @kr_DBA I'm pretty sure it should all be fine, so long as (just like on prem) SQL clone has all the network connectivity, ports open, credentials etc. Etc.
I have seen SQL Clone in use on AWS and Azure Vms before, so I don't see why GCP would be any different.
The documentation site (documentation.red-gate.com) has a fair architecture diagram and networking/permissions documents so as long as you stick to that you're good 👍
    Hope you get on ok!

Hi @kr_DBA, thank you for your post,
Sadly SQL Clone has never been tested on GCP and therefore there is no documentation specific for GCP.

Thank you @TheMaskedData for your comments on this subject, I hope they prove useful.

Please do update this post on your progress, as it may be useful to other SQL Clone users.

    Many Thanks
