Hi

I'm currently trialing the software and have encountered a strange issue regarding the alerts being fired.

For some unknown reason this suddenly stopped!

I restarted the service on the server hosting the alert repository and this kicked the alert firing back in.

Is this an known issue or has anyone come across something similar before?

Slightly worrying the alerting can stop without warning/error

  • Hi Gaz,

I'm sorry to hear that you encountered a problem with SQL Response and the alerts being fired.

Would you be able to send us the Alert Repository log files up to and after the alerting stopped?

You can find the logs files on the Alert Repository machine here :

    [ALL USERS]\Application Data\Red Gate\Logs\SQL Response Alert Repository 1

If you could zip the files and send them to support@red-gate.com quoting reference F0019273 that would be great.

    Thanks.

  • i just found this thread and i have had the same issue where several servers have stopped raising alerts and once the response repository service was restarted the alerts began to appear again.
was there some kind of resolution from looking at the log files?
  • Hi,

I haven't received log files as yet from the above user, if you would like to e-mail me your log files but putting my name in the subject rather than the previous call reference I will create a support ticket for you and take a look.

    Thanks
