What's new?

This build of SQL Prompt includes these fixes:
  • SP-6800 : Fix alignment for chaining methods.
  • SP-6806 : NullReference exception during execution of EI020/021.
  • SP-6808 : Fix missing newline after ON while formatting filegroup indexes.
  • SP-6826 : SET ANSI NULL ON removal has a huge impact on users performance, so we don't show this error.

The update doesn't show for me. I'm on 9.0.6.3580 and I get the message "No updates available" when I check for updates. (SSMS 17.4 and VS 15.5.4)
  • Hi @Jacco,

I think we have resolved this now, would it be possible to double check?

    Best,
    Michael

    Hello,

After I installed (and I have re-installed), suddenly it cannot access the license server. Other Red-Gate apps seem to be unaffected.

"Unable to connect to the Redgate Client Service."

    SSMS 2017.4

Should add I use the frequent update channel.

I get the "Unable to connect to the Redgate Client Service." message in SSMS 17.4. I do not get that message in SQL Prompt add-in in Visual Studio 17. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling and running the deactivate tool followed by activating again. Nothing worked. Please help!
  • Mine suddenly started working again.

So question - if I'm offline for an extended period, should I expect SQL Prompt to stop working until it can retrieve or phone home at some interval?

    Best,

  • I just downloaded the latest version and I too get the dreaded "Unable to connect to the Redgate Client Service". I was using 7.5. Help!

Same here. Upgraded from 8 to 9 and now SQL Prompt stopped working.
SSMS 2016 -> SQL Prompt -> About SQL Prompt = Trial period has expired.
SSMS 2016 -> SQL Prompt -> Manage License = "Unable to connect to Redgate Client Service" error

With SQL Prompt 9 installed the other SSMS plugins (SQL Test and SQL Source Control ) act the same way.
If I uninstall Sql Prompt 9 then SQL Test and SQL Source Control work again.

The Apps that are outside SSMS (Compare, Doc, Dependency...) work fine with SQL Prompt 9 installed or not.

    Have current SQL Toolbelt subscription.
