After installing SSMS 2014 I received a message box which crashed SSMS. I had to uninstall SQL Search to fix it. Something with the framework. I downloaded the latest framework but to no avail. Screenshot:
It is an "System.Nullreference exception: Object not set to an instance of an object " error.

Do you have the most recent version of SQL Search? (2.3.1.388) If not, you can download it here: ftp://support.red-gate.com/patches/SQLSearch/27Jul2016/SQLSearch_2.3.1.388.exe.
Have you tried repairing the framework? You can do this by navigating through Control Panel --> Programs --> Programs and Features, then right-clicking on SSMS Integration Pack Framework 1 and selecting repair.
Hope this helps!
