We are seeing an error after installing the latest version of ReadyRoll when first opening Visual Studio. We are seeing a message that states "The 'ReadyRollAdvancePtyLtd.ReadyRoll....' package did not load correctly. The problem may have been caused by a configuration change or by the installation of another extension.

When I open the ActivityLog.xml file I see the following errors:

  • Sorry that you got an error while upgrading.

I have seen this when the installer hasn’t managed to remove all of the files relating to the old version, before the new version is installed.

Would you be able to try the following:

    1. Close Visual Studio.
    2. Uninstall ReadyRoll.
    3. Delete any remaining files in C:Program Files (x86)MSBuildReadyRoll
    4. Install ReadyRoll 1.8
