SQL Prompt using RDS 2008 R2

We're considering purchasing SQL Prompt for several of our developers (though perhaps not all of them), yet many of them alternate between running SSMS 2012 on a Remote Desktop Server (Windows Server 2008 R2 EE x64), either via Remote App or Remote Desktop, and running SSMS 2012 locally on their laptops.
Are there any special licensing, installation or activation considerations we need to be aware of before purchasing the current version of SQL Prompt? Especially if we're going to end up having a mix of developers who have licenses (employees) and those who do not (contractors), connecting to the same Remote Desktop Server?
Thanks!
