SQL Lite Issue

I just installed SQL Lite on one of my servers. When I try to add the server in the gui I get the following message:

Could not load the DLL xp_sqlbackup.dll, or one of the DLLs it references. Reason: 126(The specified module could not be found.).

Can anyone shed any light on this? I tried reinstalling and rebooting.

Thanks

Thank you your post into the forum.

Sorry for the delay in replying to you.

Can you please clarify what you mean by SQL Lite?

Are you referring to SQLite or another edition of SQL Server?

The file xp_sqlbackup.dll is installed to your SQL server's Binn folder when deploying the SQL Backup Server Components. Can you please check this folder to see if the file exists?

    Many Thanks
    Eddie

  • Hi, I am getting the same message trying to use SQL Backup 5.3 having just installed it. I did a search on the server for xp_sqlbackup.dll and it does not exist... where can I get it?

  • Hi Terrihawkins,

It looks as though you have not installed the SQL Backup Server Components.

If you navigate to your SQL Backup GUI installation folder, locate the file SQBServerSetup.exe and copy to/run it on your SQL Server the Server Components can then be installed using the wizard.

Once this is completed the server should be usable via the SQL Backup GUI.

    Hope this helps.
