what happen to sql backup standard

Hi ,
using sql backup for several years
w have standard and pro edition.
when you had standard and pro edition main diffrence was ability
to do remote backups

Now standard version replaced by Lite and more functionaly lost
(email notifrication, compression)

my question
I need to buy 3 more sql backups
if I need email notifrication, compression without remote backup
do I need get Pro version, or you can sell "old standard version"

Thank you for your post into the forum.

SQL Backup Lite Edition was never intended to be a replacement for SQL Backup Standard Edition. SQL Backup Lite Edition was introduced in September 2006 with a reduced set of features and was available alongside Professional and Standard Editions.

The introduction of the SQL Backup Lite Edition was very succesful.

Having 3 editions of SQL Backup caused some confusion, therefore a decision was made to withdraw SQL Backup Standard Edition from Sale in August 2007.

I will submit a feature to have the e-mail notification added to the SQL Backup Lite Edition.

As regards to your question, if you require e-mail notification and higher compression levels, you need to purchase SQL Backup Professional.

Hi Alex

I have submitted a feature request on your behalf to consider adding the e-mail notification feature to the SQL Backup Lite Edition.

I cannot guarantee that this request will obtain approval or if approval is given what future version of SQL Backup Lite the feature will in.
