Backup Failure

100's of my database backups complete successfully, but each night I get at least a few random backup failures.

The ones that I'm concerned with right now fail with the following message:

SQL error 3013: BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally.
SQL error 3202: Write on "SQLBACKUP_4651C191-ABB5-4C7C-BFBD-4953E47E703001" failed: 995(The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request.)
SQL error 3271: A nonrecoverable I/O error occurred on file "SQLBACKUP_4651C191-ABB5-4C7C-BFBD-4953E47E7030:" 995(The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request.).
"Thread 0 error:
Process terminated unexpectedly. Error code: -2139684860
Process terminated unexpectedly. Error code: -2139684860"
"Thread 1 error:
Process terminated unexpectedly. Error code: -2139684860
Process terminated unexpectedly. Error code: -2139684860"

Thread 3 error: Backup error: Access violation at address 10009801 in module 'zlib1.dll'. Read of address 0A5A2000
The files that the system was writing to remain locked until I restart the SQL Backup service.

What should I do to find and resolve this issue?
