Failing Job

I write a script to backup my DBs using redgate. I than create a SQL Job that runs my script.

I set it to send me an email upon completion. I also monitor the Job, and receive alerts when the Job Fails.

I just had a situation where the backup job was erroring out cause of an error on my part. I was backing up all databases, but in the location, i forgot to use <auto>. So this was totally my fault, but what threw me off was that the SQL Job completed Succesffully. and the Red Gate Mailer, did not send out a failed job.

My basic question, is there any setting i can change to be notified of this? Either through red gate mailer, or just the SQL Job showing failed?

Thanks

Could you pls post a log of the failed backup job? Default folder for the logs is C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Red Gate\SQL Backup\Log\<instance name>. Thanks.
