  • Hi,

The answer is no, but it's something we could add as an option if there's sufficient demand. Can I ask why you want extended properties to be ignored?

  • Because before we just used standard scripts to deploy a database.
And now with sql source control we get a lot of conflict because of extended properties that are automated generated by sql server 2008 when modifying a view.
And I know that with sql compare there is an option to ignore these properties.
  • A few more differences that I would like to be able to ignore:

    Constraint names
    Permissions

It makes the most sense to me to have the same type of capability that SQL Compare has, but I get the feeling that they do not share the same comparison engine or maybe its in an effort to keep the UI simple?
  • We hope to support some of the SQL Compare options in SQL Source Control. Please continue to post the options that are most important to you so we can prioritize accordingly.
