FieldMapping not valid for MatchingMappings

I have been receiving this error numerous times when using SQL Data Compare.
It successfully registers the databases but I get a Mapping error and can not move forward.
I don't have any special options set. It seems this error is occurring when I use one of the saved projects. When I go in and setup a new project with the exact same databases and servers, it works fine.
I have also used previous versions to compare the databases. I have only seen this error when I started using versin 8.
Also, how would i delete saved projects? because of this bug, I have many of the same projects.
Thanks

I think there have been some bug fixes in the area, so if you find that your project file get corrupted after you've recreated them in v8, please let us know and we'll do our best to troubleshoot it.

Maybe some useful information for debugging:
The databases are on SQL Server 2008.
I am running Windows 7.
I have gotten all updates, currently running version 8.1.0.4.
If I change the database for comparison, I get the error.
Compare Database1 to Database3 - success
Compare Database2 to Database3 - success
Compare Database1 to Database2 - failure
Starting a project from scratch allowed me to compare Database1 to Database2
