Archived content can not be deleted from the archive by users. This isn't something which is configurable at the moment. What would the preferred behaviour be for your scenario?
You can access the message only using the Exchange Server Archiver add-in's Find box. The message is essentially "invisible" to Outlook and Exchange if you delete the stub.

If an archived message is deleted from the user's inbox, the message will no longer show up in Outlook, but will remain in the archive, correct?
Since the message still exists in the archive, are you still able to search for the message through Outlook? What about through OWA?
Thanks,
Dan
