Socket Error # 11004 when trying to send mail

Using SQL Backup 6.2 and when trying to send mail we get a "Socket Error # 11004" can you provide some detail on what the potential issue is with this error??

  • Hi Toeho,

    It's likely to be the SMTP host you have defined for the email settings.
    If you select Tools -> Server Options, and select the server, you can then go to the Email Settings tab to check entry for the SMTP host.

    To make sure an email can be sent successfully you can send a test email from this tab.

    Apologies for the poor error message, it's already been logged to improve the error message.
