I have been told by operations not to use SQL Prompt while logged into the database with a batch account that has full privileges.

Is there any way I can disable the SQL Prompt, so that I can open a session with SSMS without having access to the SQL Prompt, just for a short time?

You will need to uninstall SQL Prompt and then reinstall it when you have completed your task.
