in SQL Compare
I haven't used this server in a while, but it used to be my main server. It is running SQL 2017 with unlimited connections.
I can log in using SSMS and query data from the tables.
When using SQL Compare 15.4.1.27450 Standard, I can navigate to the database and the table.
When I click compare, SQL Compare says the login for the user failed, which seems odd, as I selected the database in the previous step.
The user is my domain account which is a sysadmin on the server, logged in using SQL Authentication. No encryption.
Port 1433 is open on the system. Agent and Browser services are running.
I get the same issue when logging in as a SqlUser with db_owner membership rights on the database.
It is only this server, which worked fine before.
Any ideas of things I could look for would be appreciated.
Thanks,
lou
