Simple script/binary to automate updates

We have Redgate Monitor installed on a virtual machine on Azure. Now we want to automate updating the Redgate Monitor.
So far the only help I have found on this is a cumbersome list of steps in https://documentation.red-gate.com/monitor14/automated-installation-and-updates-239668713.html and https://documentation.red-gate.com/monitor14/setting-up-automated-installs-239668715.html .
I have to edit, write and maintain several script files, by myself. Why is it so difficult? Automation exists so that one doesn't have to do things manually.
Could you provide us with a simple one file (not several files!) script (that retrieves configuration from existing Redgate installation if possible; and prompts me for any other remaining information), that I can just run once and forget?
Or even better, why isn't automating the updates a part of the Redgate Monitor installer itself?
(For now I gave up automating this - it seems like an hour of work to me, while I expected Redgate to solve problems for me, not create ones.)

Hi jtom,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience, sorry that following these steps hasn't proved straight forward. If you have got stuck at a particular point and would like our help please let me know and we can raise an internal support ticket to gather more information and assist you further.
While the current process may seem manual, once set up, it should streamline your updates significantly.
With regard to changing/simplifying this process, I would suggest raising this request on the UserVoice site, votes on these suggestions can help prioritise future features that matter most to our community.
