Explain bar chart

Can someone provide information on what the bar chart that displays on every object in a diagram is representing?  I tried looking at the documentation but couldn't find any information around what it means.  In the picture below I have circle the graph in yellow.

  • Hi @adam_hafner

This red bar is the 'Relative Importance Bar'

Details on this can be found here:

    https://documentation.red-gate.com/sdt/analyzing-the-diagram

I've copied the core information here:

     Finding the 'most important' objects
Objects in the diagram have relative importance bars that indicate how many other objects use the object. The relative importance takes dependencies at all levels into account . If the relative importance bars aren't visible, on the View menu, click Relative Importance Bars.

If you want to identify the most important objects in the diagram, apply the hierarchic layout to your diagram. The objects with the most connections are at the bottom of the diagram.

  • @Jon_KirkwoodIs there any way to add some information about how "relative importance" is determined?  Is there some calculation that can be provided or some sort of detail into what factors are taken into account?
