Script Generator doesn't handle multiple tags

In the Script Generator you can only add a single tag to a script.  It would be ideal if multiple tags were allowed to be assigned as well since it is supported by the Schema.

Thank you for reaching out on the Redgate forum regarding your SQL Scripts Manager feature request.

Scripts Manager is provided as a free tool that is largely community driven to provide scripts that can be run in the application.

I've noted you have submitted a few feature requests over a number of forum posts recently - I have collated these and escalated them to our product team for their consideration, and will update your posts as I receive any updates.

  • Hi adam_hafner,

I was doing some more testing around this and wondered if you are trying to add tags in the Script Generator and that is what is only allowing one tag?

If so, I did find that I was unable to enter a comma-separated value, but I was able to copy it into this field; this then created multiple tags.

I'm going to continue submitting this to the developers but perhaps as a bug instead of feature request.

In the interim, I feel you should be able to create multiple tags if you were to write them elsewhere and copy them into this field.

  • @Jon_Kirkwood Good catch!  The copy/paste trick does work.  Thanks for the suggestion and also for passing this along to the developers to address this as a bug.
