Running out of disk space with SQL Compare

Hello RedGate Support Team,

We are currently using SQL Compare (Version 14.5.1.18536 Professional) to compare our production database with our lower environments. However, during this process, our production environment encountered disk space issues. Our production database is approximately 28 terabytes, and I wanted to check if this is a known issue or if it could be related to the size of the database.
Could you please provide any insights or recommendations on how we can avoid these disk space issues when using SQL Compare?
Any information to this or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your assistance, and I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

    Hello Nisha,

Thank you for reaching out. Large databases, like your 28TB production environment, can result in significant disk space usage during comparisons. We recommend increasing disk space or optimizing the comparison process. You could also consider excluding large tables or indexes during the comparison to minimize disk usage. Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Best regards,
