Where is my serial number

If I remember correctly, product serial numbers used to be listed when you displayed your products on the red gate portal. Now I see my product and license id but no serial number. What am I missing? I really need to get my products activated.

    Hi Tom,

The Redgate portal has switched to the new format from 1st July 2024. You would have used the legacy portal format earlier.
For the license (when clicked on the product) on the usage tab, you should see the existing allocation under the "Device".
Selecting the device and clicking "Remove" should free up the usage on the old system.

Once this is done, you can activate the license on the new system.
Please let me know if this helps.

    Regards,
    Sujay

  • Hi Tom,

On the Redgate portal, the left panel, if you select Licenses, you should be able to see the list of licenses:

Click on the license and you should see 2 tabs (Usage and Serial Numbers)

Navigating to the "Serial Numbers" tab, you should be able to view the serial numbers

Please let me know if this helps.

    Best Regards,
    Sujay

Except I don't have the tabs Usage and Serial Numbers.

Sorry, I didn't realize I have to click on the actual product to get to where the serial numbers are. I don't recall having to do that previously. Maybe I'm just misremembering.

But this raises another issue. Since this is already assigned to me on another laptop that is no longer in use, how do I assign the license on my new laptop?
