what are some reasons why "select in object explorer" might not work?

Frustratingly, this seems like it would be extremely useful, but it has never worked.  Whether by Ctrl-F12 or by selecting from the context menu, nothing happens.  I've tried placing the cursor in front/behind/within the table name.  I've tried selecting the table name.
The object explorer is open and working and is even open to the correct database with the table in sight, but it will not select the relevant table, which is (I imagine) what this function is supposed to do.

  • Hi kdmoyers,

Apologies for the delay and for the issues you're experiencing with SQL Prompt. Let's try performing a clean install:

    1. Make a backup copy of C:\Users\<YOURUSER>\AppData\Local\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 10.
    2. Uninstall SQL Prompt from the Control Panel.
    3. Verify if C:\Program Files (x86)\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 10 has been deleted. If not, please delete it
        manually.
    4. Download the latest version of SQL Prompt ---->SQLPrompt_10.14.21.9884.exe
    5. Restart your computer.
    6. Restore your styles, snippets, and history using the backup folder (of C:\Users\<YOURUSER>\AppData\Local\Red Gate\SQL Prompt 10.)
