Target fields being deleted when deploying

I've put in a support request on this as well, but hopefully I'll get a quicker response here.
I don't want target fields that do not exist in the source to be deleted when deploying. This applies to quite a few tables.  I don't want to have to manually edit the script. Is there another approach to the deployment where I can avoid that?

SQL Compare will deploy the source schema to the target to make it identical, unless you deselect certain tables from the comparison
