Check for Update?

More of a suggestion than a question.

Can you add a Check for Update option like the other tools have?

I've been plagued with the "Unable to find an entry point named 'sqlite3_open_interop' in DLL 'SQLite.Interop.dll'" error and the root cause is that I keep all of my other tools up to date because they prompt me to update them as new releases are made.

But even though I use SQL Search frequently, it never offers an update and I was several releases behind.

Thanks,

James

    Hi James,

    SQL search should update automatically!

If enabled then when you open ssms it'll check for an update and download it in the background, then install it when you next close SSMS.
    Kind regards

    Hi Robyn,

It doesn't appear to be using the same behavior as SQL Prompt.  Search was a few point releases behind and had been broken for several months before I figured out how to fix it.  In that time, I had installed numerous SQL Prompt releases.

Is it possible that it's not following the "frequent updates" flag and that is causing the SQL Lite dlls to be out of sync?

    Thanks,

    James
