Is there a way to turn off the preview data?

I'm updating definitions to use foreign keys and each of table selection, column selection and population method triggers a pointless regeneration of data. It can't know how to do it until I've done at least two of them (just choosing a table causes a delay, with no data at the end of it).
This is causing each column to take 2-3 minutes to set up, when it really should only take 15 seconds or so. Can I turn off sample data preview while I'm setting up the table?

Thank you for your forum post.
Sadly there is not an option to turn off the sample data preview.
The closest possible way of achieving your goal, is to reduce the number of rows for the preview data via the Tools menu on the toolbar ->Application options -> General Tab ->Application display ->Set the "Number of rows in generator preview" to equal 1 and the preview will display a single row (Setting "Number of rows in generator preview" to zero and leaving the setting blank has no effect).
Many Thanks
