How to resolve partition schema error when getting source control changes?

When I try to pull latest changes from source control, it throws an error saying the partition scheme was not found, even though I created the partition function and partition scheme with the expected name and they are visible when I query for them. I don't know what is missing or how to resolve this error.
The partition scheme [PS_SystemID] on table Audit was not found
