Backup Overdue Alert

The backup overdue alert has fired looking for the last full backup is older then 7 days even though the backups are taken nightly. Is this a bug or does something need to be configured in the alert to correctly report?

    Hi @Hyperlance

Thanks for reaching out to us regarding this!

Just an initial question on this: What version of SQL Monitor are you currently running?
    Kind regards

It only happened the once, but should not have happened at all.
  • Hi @Hyperlance

Thanks for your reply on this.

That is very strange, that it only happened once, and makes if difficult to establish what could have caused this.

Just a couple of things I wanted to check - were there any changes to the name of your database? Also, were there any issues indicated on the Backups page (Estate > Backups)?

Finally, have there been any customizations made to the Backup Overdue alerts default settings?
    Kind regards

  • Hi Dan_J,

This has started to reoccur, and no, no customization

An example of the error is at 11 Nov 04:40 it reports no backup, however the same notification says the last backup occurred at 10 Nov at 22:04.

Now this doesn't occur on databases in our production group, only in databases in another group, so would it be possible something has gotten corrupted in the alert settings for that group?
