To confirm are you using the latest SSMS 19.0.2?
There is a known issue with 19.0.2 that the development team are working on currently. It does work on 19.0.1 however.

The dev team are aware of this issue and are looking into it.
Any workaround in the meantime for using SQL Search besides using SSMS 18?
There was a fix released yesterday, SQL search version 3.6.2 that should have a fix for this.
Strange: I didn't change anything, but it started working perfectly today... :-)
