    Hi @pnomula

I'm sorry you're seeing this issue with Data Compare for Oracle! Thanks for reaching out to us regarding this.

Has this issue only started occurring after updating Data Compare for Oracle? Has it worked for you in the past? What version of Data Compare for Oracle do you have installed?

This error message generally occurs when Data Compare for Oracle is unable to locate the Oracle client software that it needs to connect to an Oracle database.

To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the following steps:

    1. Check the PATH environment variable on the machine where Redgate Data Compare for Oracle is installed. Make sure that it includes the directory where the Oracle client software is installed.

    2. Check the registry key for the Oracle client software. This key is typically located at:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\

Make sure that the registry key exists and that it points to the correct directory where the Oracle client software is installed.

    1. If the Oracle client software was recently installed or upgraded, it is possible that the PATH environment variable or registry key was not updated correctly. In this case, you may need to manually update these settings to point to the correct directory.

    2. If you are still unable to resolve the issue, you may want to try re-installing the Oracle client software and ensuring that the PATH environment variable and registry key are set correctly.

    Kind regards
