Why does the diagramming functionality pile all objects on top of each other?

When I diagram my database all the objects are layered on top of each other. I tried multiple diagramming options and get the same results. I pressed the Reapply Layout and nothing happens. Is there a setting I am missing?

Hi @Louis_Tominack
Thank you for reaching out on the Redgate forums regarding your SQL Dependency Tracker issue.
We have seen similar behavior from some other users where the objects are all laid on-top of each other and not re-arranging using the different layout styles.
The most common reason is due to a FIPS-compliant encryption policy blocking a component of the installer.
To test this fix we would recommend uninstalling SQL Dependency Tracker, searching for an active FIPS-compliant encryption policy and disabling it.
Then conducting a fresh install of Dependency Tracker and verify the issue has been resolved.

I have escalated this within our development team for possible workarounds, unfortunately there is a third-party library, utilised within SQL Dependency Tracker, that is what is conflicting with FIPS.
Until this library is updated this issue will continue. I am not able to ascertain a timeframe on when this may be resolved.
My understanding is the issue occurs when installing the software as a component of the library is not installed with FIPS enabled.
It may constitute a conversation within your IT/security team to disable FIPS, install the software and then re-enable FIPS to see if this resolves the layout issues.
