SQL Prompt for SSMS 19 Preview

I tried to download the SSMS 19 preview version but couldn't install the SQL Prompt. Want to test SSMS 19 along with SQL Prompt. Any chance sql prompt working in preview version?

Hi Nathan,

The latest version of SQL Prompt should work with the SSMS 19 preview. 

You will first need to install SSMS 19 and then install SQL Prompt. IF SQL Prompt is already installed though you'll need to uninstall and reinstall:

As per what Ben has suggested, SQL Prompt should work in SSMS 19 Preview.

But I will suggest rather to use it in SSMS 18.12.1 (Stable version), if you are getting issue with preview version, here are all old versions list.

Using SSMS v19 Preview 2.  Connected to an Azure SQL Server (not a managed instance, the virtual server behind an Azure SQL Database) using Azure Active Directory - Universal with MFA.  Right-click on a database and select New Query.  I am presented with the SQL Prompt Crash Dialog and am now caught in a crash loop.  Submitting the error report or hitting Cancel takes me right back into the crash dialog.  I have to End Task SSMS in Task Manager.  This just started after updating to the latest version 10.12.5.30313.  Anyone else experience this?

We had to make some changes to support MFA authentication in SSMS 19 Preview 3, which unfortunately has means we no longer support MFA connections in Preview 2. If you upgrade to Preview 3 (release in August), you should be able to continue using MFA connections.

Unfortunately its not working for me with ssms 19.0 preview 3.  SQL prompt doesn't crash, but it doesn't offer suggestions either.  My connection is to an azure sql instance with universal/mfa.  Looking at the log file it appears that it is failing to connect to the database.

After installing 10.12.6.30951 it started working again in Preview 2.  I will definitely update to Preview 3 though.  Thanks!
