options for naming backup files

Are there other options for auto naming a back up file? I know you can use <AUTO> to have the date and time appended to the end of the file name but I'm looking to have just the date or day of the week added instead of date and time. I'm looking for this becuase I'm wanting to automate backups on my DR server and this will be very helpful so I can keep more than one day's worth of backups on hand.

The DATETIME tag has many options, including day of week, time, month, etc.
