I recently migrated to a SQL Server instance on an Azure managed instance.
I am not able to connect to the database using SQL Dependency tracker.
Is there a way to use the tool on a managed instance?

It's not specifically supported in https://documentation.red-gate.com/sdt/requirements, but it may work based on Azure SQL Databases being supported:
I think it's more likely related to the auth type trying to be used. Can you attach a screenshot of the error so that we can see what's happening with it?

I've just double checked the documentation for Dependency Tracker and unfortunately it does state that:
"Azure Active Directory Authentication is not supported."
