Hitting EnterKey is being hijacked by issue menu

If what i've written has an issue (with green squiggly line) and I hit the enter key with intention of moving cursor to new line, instead the issue menu is being brought up and i am unable to bypass this* and create a new line.
* well i can hit space and then enter but in the natural process of writing code i'd expect the enter key to act in it's normal manner as default
Also what's worse is when trying to modify code that has a green squiggly line it's ignoring the key stroke and just showing the issue menu. In second image i have double clicked on highlighted word Parent to replace with Master but when i hit the key M it just brings up the unwanted menu.
Can't even disable the rule as i get a "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." error popping up
