Data Generator blocking truncation of the tables its inputting into

Hi all,
We're trying out the Data Generator tool and have found that its blocking the truncation of tables it has previously loaded into.
We keep the tool open long term as we're developing the load testing. And we've found that when we hit the generate data button the tool hangs on the truncation step. sp_who shows it is blocked by other spids opened against 'Red Gate Software' and the only thing we're running is the Data Generator.
I've since disabled the truncate option on each table and started manually truncating but have the same problem - blocking by Data Generator.
Surely this isn't right?
