What is Inner InvalidOperationException?

Frequently, when I do a deployment it will fail with the following error:

(BTW - RedGate: It would be great if you would allow us to copy the text of your error dialogs!)

Inner InvalidOperationException: This instance has already started one or more requests. Properties can only be modified before sending the first request.



After closing the dialog though, and refreshing the database comparison, I find that the deployment succeeded. But I don't like to receive errors especially during a sensitive operation such as updating my production database. Is this a known issue and is there a fix for this?

Hi,

This looks like a bug that was identified in version 14.4.4, when comparing Azure databases, can you please upgrade to the latest frequent update version (14.4.15) and check if you still experience the issue?

In that case you need to enable "Frequent Updates" first

Why is SQL Compare trying to do something via HttpClient after running my database deployment?

I am on 14.4.4 but when I check for updates I get a message:

No updates available: You are running the latest version.

How do I apply the update as you suggest?

I'm on version 14.4.4.16824 and am experiencing the same issue outlined in the question. I am up to date with SQL Data Compare and I am using 2 Azure sql servers when doing the data migrations. Any ideas on how to resolve the issue?
