unresolved alias - except rename alias works?

in SQL Prompt
I'm trying to expand a wildcard on a multiply nested query (quite long, have already bumped the parserlookaheaddistance to 30000). Anyway SQLprompt has a popup saying unresolved alias but at the same time I can click on the alias from select clean.* from and re-name alias works correctly for the subquery alias and WHERE items associated with it.
Any ideas what I've broken?
I've refreshed suggestions, installed prompt version 10.4.2.16131 and I'm using ssms 18.6 (15.0.18338.0) against a database in sqlserver 19 (15.0.2000.5). The query runs fine... just prompt not being as helpful as usual. It does offer to expand other standalone queries in this same file so not totally broken
