Windows Services and Log On As

How do you profile a Windows service which must be run under a specific (non-local system) Windows user account in order to work?

  • Hi Per,
ANTS is designed to be able to profile services running as any user, as long as that user has access to read the ProfilerCore.dll which you can find in the ANTS installation directory.

Let me know how it goes,

    Thanks for the reply.

Yesterday I would get hangs in ProfilerCore.dll.

    From Event Viewer:

    >Faulting application speedmediamidtier.exe, version, stamp 49af0188, faulting module profilercore.dll, version, stamp 499eead3, debug? 0, fault address 0x0001a849.

We're in the middle of an office move - more feedback later.
