SQLPrompt freezing / crashing SSMS version 18.1

On an a computer accessed via RDP with SQL Prompt version 9.5.16.11294 installed, SSMS freezes for two to 10 minutes when I first login to the RDP session. If I lose connection to the RDP session and re-connect a few more times (two or more) SSMS crashes. This issue predates this version of SQL Prompt.

The computer has ample memory so it's unclear why it crashes. Other computers accessed via RDP with SSMS but without SQL Prompt installed do not exhibit this issue. Please do help.
