Unable to remove or reinstall SQL Search

in SQL Search
I am unable to either remove or reinstall the SQL Search.
Pre-condition:
1. Removed previous version of SSMS
2. Installed newer version of SSMS (18.1)
3. Tried upgrading or removing SQL Search
4. Displays error
Kindly help resolve the issue or share how can i enable the SQL Search in SSMS.

- When removing it displays:
Fatal error during installation.<br>The log file contains following line.<br>Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) 2012, 2014, 2016 or 2017 required
- When Reinstalling the latest SQL Search (3.2.7.2379)
ERROR MsiUiHandler - MSI reported an error: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) 2012, 2014, 2016 or 2017 required
Kindly help resolve the issue or share how can i enable the SQL Search in SSMS.

Please can you try uninstalling SQL Search using this tool:
https://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.htm
Then reinstall the latest version:
ftp://support.red-gate.com/patches/SQLSearch/31May2019/SQLSearch.exe

So now I too will have to manually edit the registry because some developer didn't do their due diligence!
I'm very sorry for the inconvenience this caused you.
It's a solution that has helped customers before which is why I suggested it but as it's causing problems with SSMS installations I have raised it with the development team for review.
