Common Language Runtime detected an invalid program

After receiving the KB4495620 Windows 10 update, I now get a "Common Language Runtime detected an invalid program" when a specific functionality of my program is executed.
Edit: the code includes ref returns.
This only occurs if I have "Automated Error Reporting" enabled for my project; disabling automated error reporting solves the issue. Removing the ref returns also solves the issue.
I am using SmartAssembly 6.12.7.1100 but I've reproduced the exact crash on the latest 7.0.5.2336 version as well.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Sorry to hear you're running into an issue!
I unfortunately wasn't able to reproduce this on my end with the the KB4495620 Windows 10 update and a program using ref returns.
Would it be possible for you to share one of the pieces of code causing this, or perhaps your application, or a cut-down version?
Thank you!
