Minimum compression, 33GB down to 6.5GB, does that sound right?

I've switched from backups using SSMS maintenance plan to redgate backup tool. I'm doing full backups using minimum compression. Previously the backups were 33gb, now they're 6.5gb. That seems like a drastic reduction in size for minimum compression. Does this sound right?

It sounds pretty good to me!

It depends on so many factors its hard to say but this does match up with the basic example we give here: https://documentation.red-gate.com/sbu10/settings-and-options/compression-levels, 42GB down to 8.5GB.

Or were you hoping the compressed size to be even smaller?
