Why does SQL Prompt Snippet Manager delete placeholder values when leaving the sql tab?

I will open my snippet shortcut and input my values for my variable place holders.  If leave that SSMS tab to go to another tab my entered values disappear leaving only the SQL text of my placeholder.  This is annoying because sometimes my placeholder values are generated from another piece of code and I am copy/pasting into it.

    Hi @Todd_H_01,

Can you share the snippet you are using and expand a bit on what the situation is?

The Snippet Manager has focus and doesn't let you click to a different tab within the same SSMS (nor does it when you are creating or editing).  I've tried swapping to different windows with the manager open and also the edit/new screen and the placeholder remains.

When using a placeholder such as the selectionstart/selectionend around a [schema].[table] and then swap to a different tab, the selection remains highlighted when I return to that tab.

Any further information would be very helpful!

    Kind regards,
    Alex
