installing SQL Clone 3.1.4.16729 - error

When I run the SQL Provision setup, I immediately receive a "verification of sql provision failed." and also "Error 0x80096005".  We are currently running SQL Clone 3.0.1.13104 and .NET framework .NET Framework 4.6.2.

Do I need to upgrade .NET framework first? Or is this something else?  We only want to install and use Clone, not Data Masker.

From the issue that you described we can't infer what's the actual problem.

Could you please contact the support team?
They will investigate the logs and find a solution for you.

trying to submit a ticket, but I don't know where I can find my serial number...?

If you've purchased SQL Clone/Provision then you should have received a serial number on your invoice, and this will also be viewable on the My Products page if you log in with the same Redgate ID you used to activate the product.

If you're evaluating, then you can leave that field blank.
