Is there any way around giving the SQL Clone ID sysadmin rights?

in SQL Clone
Is there any way around giving the SQL Clone ID sysadmin rights?  We would like to reduce this to the minimum possible but SQL Clone will not let you do much without sysadmin rights.  Thank you.
