Licensing the SQL Compare command line

I had a quick question about integrating the command line into an application. I've reviewed the information here: http://www.red-gate.com/supportcenter/C ... 526444.htm

Basically, my question is this. I would like to write some build scripts (maybe in python) that make use of the command line interface. I am currently licensed under the SQL Toolbelt (which rocks by the way). Anyway, what do I need to do from a licensing standpoint to use my build scripts on another server? Do I need another license for SQL Compare for the server that the scripts will be placed on? Also, the build application has a front end which would allow any user to kick off a build. Would each of these users need a license as well?

Thanks. Any help is appreciated.

  • Hi,

Since you have a SQL Toolbet license, which includes the Comparison SDK, you are allowed up to 10 distributions of either the SDK or the command line. So you don't need to purchase any further licenses!

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks,
