    With this upgrade, SQL monitor will no longer support SQL Server 2008 or SQL Server 2008 R2 for the database used to store monitoring data.
    There is no change to the list of versions of SQL server that can be monitored.

    If you have explicitly chosen not to licence any Azure SQL Database with an upper-case character in its name, this exclusion will need to be re-applied following this update.

    I don't believe it will require a restart - the installer will stop the V8 services, install V9 services and start those

    I don't understand, why go to the trouble, of implementing notification by severity and not do it on all notification methods, including slack ???

    Thanks for your comment. We released it first for email notifications as we believed this would immediately help a majority of users. We do have an enhancement on our backlog to implement this for all notification methods, but we've also found it useful to consider the different use cases that have been described to us so we can make sure we deliver the best solution.

    It would be useful if you have an example of the kind of thing you are trying to achieve - e.g. how do you process different severities? Do you only use one method for all severities are do you use different methods for different severities?
